1. The tectorial membrane is the superior continuation of the anterior longitudinal ligament.
2. The posterior atlantooccipital membrane is allows for the passage to two structures.
3. The transverse fibers of the cruciate ligament attach to the margin of the foramen magnum.
4. The nuchal ligament is an extension of the supraspinous ligament
